Amycus isn’t the type that most would want to befriend.  He’s vulgar and ill-mannered, just like his younger sister, Alecto.  He only cares for his family.  He’s been known to warm up to a girl long enough to get her in bed, and then break it off when he’s had what he wants.  His professors only put up with him because he’s very good at school, and if he didn’t have that on his side, he’d probably have been expelled long ago.
